Grifal Group and Unesco for the Ocean&Climate Village at the Milan Triennale

Ocean&Climate Village, the first interactive, educational and traveling exhibition dedicated to ocean and climate, was held at the Milan Triennale. The event was organized by IOC-UNESCO as part of the “Decade of Marine Sciences for Sustainable Development,” as the United Nations has declared the period 2021-2030.

Grifal Group is an official supporter of Ocean&Climate Village, in collaboration with Prof. Luca Fois of the School of Design of the Politecnico di Milano, the University of Milano-Bicocca, the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change, Triton and together with Prada Group and E.On.

Grifal Group, with its innovative cArtù® corrugated cardboard display, is an Official Supporter of the Ocean & Climate Village event

The Grifal Group, Italy’s leading eco-sustainable packaging company, curated the exhibition with materials and furniture made from cArtù® , the special high-thickness, roll-up and shock-absorbing corrugated cardboard.

The idea of a cArtù® exhibit was born from the creative thinking of Prof. Luca Fois of the School of Design at Milan Polytechnic.

cArtù®, a Grifal innovation in green packaging, has proven successful when it comes to flexibility and sustainability, making it possible to create seats, tables, walls and supports with reduced environmental impact. In photo Giulia Gritti, Grifal Group Marketing Director, said as part of the panel to launch the Design for the Ocean initiative:

“It is an honor for us to collaborate with Unesco to raise awareness about the importance of the ocean for the planet and for our future. Creating the Ocean&Climate Village exhibit in the prestigious setting of the Triennale was the first step on a path made up of actions aimed at concrete change that we hope will last for many years.”
