Project Description

At Grifal, we know how much time, money and resources you spend getting your product just right. Our design team approaches each customized protective packaging design with one goal in mind — to give your product the packaging it deserves.

Grifal protective packaging options include cushioning, block & brace, suspension and retention, clamshell, void-filling, vapor corrosion inhibitor (VCI) and electrostatic discharge (ESD) solutions.

Research and development

We bring our experience of 45 years in the packaging business to design packaging projects that strengthen your brand by providing gratifying unboxing experiences and insuring that your product arrives at its destination exactly as it left your plant or warehouse.

The first phase of every project begins with the gathering of information about the product, its target market and environmental issues. Once the research is completed, we choose the most suitable design and materials to create a working prototype that meets or exceeds the requirements of the design brief.

We are tirelessly focused on using the most advanced tools and procedures, in strict compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards, to deliver a solution that meets your technical specifications, business needs and is as eco-friendly as possible. No detail is too small to be overlooked. We aim to reduce weight and materials to save on materials and shipping costs to help you increase your margins, and to reduce your carbon footprint at the same time.

To complete the cycle, we have our own independent ISTA (International Safe Transit Association) Certified Testing Laboratory to make sure that each of our designs performs at or above the required specifications.

We put each prototype through its paces — simulating the shocks, stress and conditions that the solution is designed to withstand. When required, we can officially certify our packaging design to meet internationally and locally recognized safety standards.

At the conclusion of each project we deliver a complete set of documentation to make sure that every aspect of the packaging solution can be examined and fully understood by all stakeholders.

The documentation, depending on the nature of the specific project, may include design drawings, 3-D files and assembly instructions, including 3D animations in appropriate cases.
