The Grifal Group <\/strong>has successfully completed the issuance of a non-convertible bond in the total amount of 6,000,000.00 euros.<\/p>\n

The minibond consolidates the growth plan<\/strong>, in both domestic and foreign perspective, that Grifal is implementing. The new investments, in fact, are intended to support further R&D<\/strong> activities in Italy, the completion of the expansion of the Cologno al Serio site, and the purchase of functional machinery for the production of environmentally sustainable packaging<\/strong> in Europe<\/strong>. The minibond will also help support expenses related to the
\n joint venture<\/strong>
\n<\/a> already launched in Portugal.<\/p>\n

Underwritten on a 50-50 basis for 3,000,000.00 euros by Unicredit S.p.A. and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti S.p.A., the minibond consists of 60 bonds with a unit par value of 100,000.00 euros, with a duration of 72 months, 12 of which are pre-amortization. The bonds will bear interest at the 3-month Euribor rate plus a spread of 340 bps – basis points to be settled in arrears on a quarterly basis.<\/p>\n

Fabio Gritti,<\/strong> president and CEO<\/strong> of Grifal, commented on the transaction as follows:<\/p>\n

“Innovation and sustainability are the two pillars on which we are building our growth and are two among the key directions that are driving both the financial and industrial evolution of the business. With this bond issue, Grifal accesses the first ESG-targeted Basket Bond launched in Italy. Grifal’s expansion goals in Italy and Europe, in terms of production sites, industrial partnerships and business opportunities, will also be supported by this significant financial instrument.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The loan is also guaranteed by the EGF – European Guarantee Fund, managed by the EIB – European Investment Bank. Cerved Rating Agency will monitor, starting in the third year, the sustainability scoring.<\/p>\n
