Grifal continues its path of growth: agreement signed to acquire the operating arm of Cornelli Srl

Grifal S.p.A. Group’s growth by external lines continues with the signing of a binding agreement to purchase 100 percent of the share capital of a limited liability company “Cornelli Brand Packaging Experience” in which Cornelli S.r.l., a company headquartered in Rivolta d’Adda (CR) and founded in 1877 by the Cornelli family, will make the transfer of part of the business complex concerning the Production and trade of corrugated boxes, as well as the design and implementation of new branding techniques applied to packaging.

Through the finalization of the transaction, Grifal intends to further accelerate its growth and increase its business volume to companies in Italy and abroad that are particularly attentive to issues related to sustainability, innovation and communication applied to packaging through its cArtù® and cushionPaper™ branded products.

Grifal is pursuing to focus on productions distinguished by the use of its exclusive materials and design and testing expertise, while it intends to concentrate its traditional corrugated processing activities in Cornelli Brand Packaging Experience. Added to this goal of rationalizing and making its structure more efficient is the goal, with a view to both growth and disaster recovery, of having a second production site in a neighboring area.

In addition, with this operation Andrea Cornelli, already a non-executive director of Grifal, will intensify his collaboration by becoming Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Strategist and Innovation Officer, thus making available to Grifal his skills expressed in the national and international arena, his relationships with major players in the world of paper and cardboard, and his familiarity with relationships with particularly structured clients developed during his career.”
