Grifal provided panels and furnishings made of cArtù®, the new corrugated cardboard, for theset-up of thePhilips Personal Health Italia #WonderofYou event, held in Milan at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on October 25, 2022.
The goal of the event is to emphasize the uniqueness and complexity of the human body. The concept allow the consumer to think about the importance of personal care and how each organ and part of the body is extremely connected. From oral hygiene to shaving and grooming, from parenting support and child care to beauty and style, Philips Personal Health is close to users by providing them with products that can accompany them in every moment of life, with a focus on theenvironment in which we live, which is why not only are Philips Personal Health products produced sustainably, but to last, be recycled and reused with the ultimate goal of using less and re-using more.
To give prominence to Philips Personal Health products, an itinerary was created in the location that repurposed different environments dedicated to each range presented: a barber’s corner for the bad grooming products; a bathroom for the beauty and oral healthcare range; and a baby room for the Avent products, dedicated to mother and baby.
Each corner was recreated with the support of self-supporting walls made with cArtù® corrugated cardboard panels or corrugated wool felt using Grifal technology. The company designs and manufactures functional, environmentally friendly and protective packaging solutions so that every product can travel safely. As early as 2015, ahead of global sentiment, Grifal set a goal to replace plastics in the protective packaging market.
The new cArtù® corrugated cardboard, whose innovative design adds two folds with a reinforcing rib function to each wave, was used to produce the walls of the ‘Bathroom’ and ‘Baby’ areas. This structure enables cArtù® to achieve unique performance in load-bearing capacity, cushioning capabilities, flexibility and light weight compared to traditional corrugated board.
Thanks to Grifal’s constant research, corrugation technology has also enabled solutions for markets other than packaging.
For example, present in staging furnishing accessories such as lamps, storage stools, baskets and centerpieces.
The undulation of materials such as polyester fibers (recycled and recyclable) or the coupling of paper with natural materials such as wool felt, textiles or recycled leather have resulted in a series of products that show interesting performance in the field ofroom acoustic absorption and comfort. One example is the wool felt panel featured in the ‘Barbershop’ corner.
