Fuorisalone 2023: cArtù transforms into furniture complements

Green products from the world of packaging made from cArtù®, the ultra-strong corrugated cardboard that replaces plastic, become designer furnishings to bring the “A Casa Ovunque” experience to life at Milan Design Week

Shaping paper-based raw materials intended for packaging to create centerpieces, ottomans, stools, coffee tables, containers, baskets, partitions, lamps, as well as frames. This is our idea, which starts from design and production of functional, sustainable and protective packaging. Demonstrate the pliability and many other winning features of cArtù®-the new shock-absorbing corrugated cardboard-to make designer furnishings for At Home Everywhere ’23 – MetaVero. MetaVerso, the space in Milan’s Tortona area that between April 17 and 23 will be among the protagonists of Fuorisalone events during Milan Design Week.

At Home Everywhere ’23 – MetaVero. MetaVerso” will give guests experiences between physical and digital with hybrid and connected spaces that encourage dialogue and welcome through a search for furnishings and components that represent the living of today and tomorrow. Our initiative is also among the virtuous uses of paper presented during the Paper Week recycling awareness initiatives of Comieco, the National Consortium for the Recovery and Recycling of Cellulose-Based Packaging.

“The flexibility of our patentedcArtù®product,” commented Giulia Gritti, marketing director of Grifal Group. – represents the perfect packaging solution, but its sustainable nature as well as its characteristic wavy shape makes it a material with great aesthetic and functional appeal: on this occasion, it can become designer furniture, helping to give guests at A Casa Ovunque an experience of well-being and coziness.”

At Home Everywhere ’23 – MetaVero. MetaVerso is an exclusive event by Sfera MediaGroup-the childhood division of RCS MediaGroup-and The Playful Living, which, together with the magazine Style Piccoli, bring to life a visual and experiential narrative that unfolds through 6 hybrid environments designed for real people:

  • Little Loft-a small space in a big city for a young couple with babies;
  • Family Home – a contemporary apartment for a family with three children;
  • Hibryd Space – a dynamic and creative coworking space with the room dedicated to experiences in the Metaverse;
  • the Open Square-an open place of welcome and relationships;
  • Food & Drink Concept Store – for social experiences of taste;
  • Smart Mobility – on the road, for sustainable urban mobility designed for young and old.

In such a high-level context as the Fuorisalone in Milan ,” added Giulia Gritti. we wanted to introduce people to how the paper-based raw materials and green packaging products we work with on a daily basis for packaging products can have a second life, be recycled or regenerated in areas even far from their world of origin such as interior design, retail, acoustic comfort and many others.”
