Grifal Group opens new Innovation Hub office at Kilometro Rosso

Grifal Group inaugurated its ‘Innovation Hub’ at Bergamo’s Kilometro Rosso Technology Park, the district of excellence for research, training and innovation activities. Fabio Gritti, president and CEO of Grifal Group, opened the proceedings by explaining that:

“The hub, at Kilometro Rosso, will not only be a center dedicated to training and the presentation of our technical design skills, but it is intended above all to be a place for sharing, growth and constant discussion with international entrepreneurs on common themes of sustainability and development in technology, values that have been directing our growth strategy in the green packaging sector since our inception in the 1960s.”

The opening event featured many guests and speakers including:

  • Andrea Cornelli, chief strategist and innovation officer, Grifal Group
  • Giovanni Natali, C.E.O. and General Manager, 4AIM
  • Paola Miglio, Marketing and New Business, The Bravery Store
  • Luca Fois, Department of Design, Politecnico di Milano

This was followed by a roundtable discussion themed Talents and Innovative Visions featuring various Grifal Group representatives such as: Giulia Gritti Marketing Director, Giancarlo Boffi Director of Technology and Engineering and Piero Colucci R&D Director.

The strategy involves establishing cArtù® technology and the cushionPaper™ product line as the new standard in environmentally sustainable packaging by building an international network of production sites in partnership with packaging companies.

The Group is also active in the design and manufacture of ripple machines and has an in-house ISTA (International Safe Transit Association) Certified Testing Laboratory, where strength and climate tests are carried out according to international standards, including those defined by Amazon. Grifal SpA was the first company in Italy to enjoy the prestigious Amazon Packaging Support and Supplier Network (APASS) certificate.
