Poliend 2000, a manufacturer and converter of polystyrene, plans to increase its business volume by 30 percent through cArtù®

The Grifal Group has reached a major business agreement with Poliend 2000, a company active in the production and conversion ofEPS, more commonly known as polystyrene. Poliend 2000 was founded in the early 1970s as a manufacturer of polystyrene packaging for the furniture industry and later began a production of increasingly complex pieces, opening up to every product sector: from food to construction, logistics to automotive. Poliend 2000’s current turnover is about 7,000,000 euros.

Cristian Buoro, CEO of Poliend 2000

“Over 2021, we estimate a 30 percent growth in our sales through the use of cArtù® . This new corrugated board with cushioning properties will double our potential market, significantly expanding our range of packaging solutions. Through the use of cArtù® we also intend to respond to the increasingly green product requests we receive from large players in the furniture industry and beyond.”

Fabio Gritti, President of Grifal

“I think it is very significant that even companies historically linked to the production and conversion of foam plastics decide to add a cellulosic-based product like cArtù® to their range. Today business growth is only possible by also offering environmentally sustainable products, I congratulate Poliend 2000 on an entrepreneurial choice that takes note of the changes taking place in the packaging market in a long-term vision destined for success.”
