Grifal also starts production in Romania

The new plant will already bill about 2 million euros in 2021 for a production of 30,000 m³ of cArtù®.

Grifal SpA also starts production of cArtù® packaging in Romania.
With its wholly owned subsidiary Grifal Europe Srl, the Grifal Group is addressing the growing demand from its customers to replace foam plastics in packaging . The solution is cArtù®, the new flexible, cushioning and ultra-protective corrugated board.
The new plant in Timisoara, a major industrial area and crossroads of important logistics axes, occupies a total area of 4,200 square meters, of which 2,400 square meters are dedicated to the production area and 1,200 square meters to the warehouse.
Grifal Europe Srl has already passed two Quality audits by multinational companies operating in the home appliance industry. When fully operational, the new site will employ about 20 employees for an annual production of 70,000 m³ of cArtù® and with a projected turnover of around 6 million.

“The start of production in Romania as well is a very important event.” Fabio Gritti, president and CEO of the Grifal Group, affirms. “In fact, the first example of a production facility entirely dedicated to cArtù packaging is realized.® in the service of some customers, in this case international manufacturers of household appliances who, after testing our products in Italy, need to supply their foreign factories with large volumes of environmentally sustainable packaging materials to replace the foam plastics used so far. These are clearly long-term supply relationships and are destined to grow.”
