Grifal Group’s environmental labeling awarded as “Good Idea” label by CONAI

On the occasion of the first “CONAI Academy Week – Questione di Etichetta” and the “Call For Good Ideas” contest, the National Packaging Consortium awarded theenvironmental labeling proposed by the Grifal Group, calling it a “Good Idea” of labeling.

The initiative, which saw the collaboration of the main trade associations and supply chain consortia, was created to support companies in anticipation of the January 1, 2022, entry into force of mandatory environmental packaging labeling with the aim of gathering best practices in this specific area.

“We thank CONAI for this important certificate and hope that with our contribution, too, we can begin a work of shared and virtuous responsibility for the development of environmental labeling skills and best practices for all companies in the supply chain,” – said Fabio Gritti, President and CEO Grifal Group – “Everyone must do their part so that we can build a true recycling society in which the Consortium and businesses like ours are active players and protagonists.”

By participating in the “Call for Ideas,” the Grifal Group confirmed its commitment to take a leadership role in the market both in terms of labeling obligations and more generally in terms of environmental responsibility.

The Grifal Group designs and manufactures packaging with the goal of minimizing the environmental impact of each of its activities:

  • directing its clients toward proper disposal and recycling practices for materials,
  • designing new packaging that requires less CO2 to produce than existing packaging,
  • Reducing the consumption of raw materials,
  • giving a new life to waste by reintroducing it into the production cycle as a processing by-product.
