Grifal SpA approves purchase of new area to expand
the production facility in Cologno al Serio
Grifal’s Board of Directors, meeting on 06/14/21, approved thepreliminary agreement for thepurchase of a new area to expand the production facility in Cologno al Serio (BG). In fact, the company has been operating in the province of Bergamo for 52 years, a history punctuated by production expansions as well as technological innovations of national and international significance.
The transaction will allow Grifal to build more than 6,000 square meters of new buildings in continuity with the buildings used today at the Cologno al Serio site. The area will be home to the new cArtù® production department with high-capacity lines under construction at Tieng S.r.l. and the necessary space for paper and finished product warehouses.
Concessions for construction have already been obtained by the seller and will be turned over to Grifal. It is expected that construction can begin by October 2021 and be completed by the first half of 2022.
